Volleyball Recap: Indianapolis Lutheran Takes a Loss

Indianapolis Lutheran was the 3-0 winner over Covenant Christian when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Saints fell 3-1 to the Warriors on Thursday. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Indianapolis Lutheran had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 15-25, 25-20, 25-18.

Lillian Pass paced Indianapolis Lutheran's offense, picking up 12 kills. Pass got some help from Shaefer Scearce and her 33 assists. Pass was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Indianapolis Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Covenant Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-7.

Indianapolis Lutheran didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Springs Valley on the 27th. As for Covenant Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Lapel on the 27th.
