Baseball Recap: Susquehanna Valley Comes Up Short

Susquehanna Valley fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Chenango Valley on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 4-2. The Sabers just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Susquehanna Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trey Swartwout, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base.

Susquehanna Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Chenango Valley, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-8.

Looking ahead, Susquehanna Valley will welcome Seton Catholic Central at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chenango Valley, they will head out to take on Union-Endicott at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
