Softball Recap: Seffner Christian Find Success

Seffner Christian proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by seven) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Grace Christian Patriots 4-2.

Seffner Christian saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyla Slauter, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. That run was Slauter's first of the season.

Seffner Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Grace Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seffner Christian will challenge St. Petersburg Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crusaders are facing the Barons at the right time seeing as the Barons are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Grace Christian, they will face off against Santa Fe Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
