Volleyball Recap: Battle Ground Academy Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Battle Ground Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars on Tuesday. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Cougars when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Battle Ground Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Middle Tennessee Christian work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 26-24, 25-14.

Middle Tennessee Christian's win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Battle Ground Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Columbia Academy on the 21st. As for Middle Tennessee Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Franklin Road Academy on the 21st.
