Softball Recap: Denair Victorious

Denair proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 11) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-12 win over the Delhi Hawks. The Coyotes haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Kenzie Prine made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Prine was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Braelyn Marroquin was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Keioni Ayala was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Denair kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Denair's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Delhi, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Looking ahead, Denair will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Stone Ridge Christian at 4:00 p.m. Delhi does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
