Volleyball Recap: Elmwood/Plum City's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Elmwood/Plum City can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They skirted past the Menomonie Mustangs 2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolves also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2019.

Abby Krings paced Elmwood/Plum City's offense, picking up 12 kills. Krings got some help from Polly Webb and her 27 assists. Krings also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Allie Sauve, racking up three apiece.

Elmwood/Plum City's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Menomonie, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Elmwood/Plum City has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Hayward on the 30th. As for Menomonie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Luck on the 30th.
