With a playoff win on the line, San Tan Charter rose to the challenge on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Morenci Wildcats a 2-0 shutout. The win was familiar territory for the Roadrunners, who have now won 17 matchups in a row.

Anthony Crupi tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over six innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tommy Crupi, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.
