Preston Stephens Turns in Another Game with at Least 119 Rushing Yards

Preston Stephens's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his 14th-straight game with 119+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 143 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and also caught a touchdown.

Unfortunately for Tarkington, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Stephens. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Stephens saw the Longhorns), he rushed for 181 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.

Gamescore: 36.88

While Payton Brooks delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Jasper. Brooks was dynamite, rushing for 130 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, while also picking up 61 receiving yards. His longest rush was for an impressive 62 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Jasper is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. Brooks' next matchup is against Hamshire-Fannett on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.
