Basketball Recap: Gadsden Takes a Loss

Gadsden lost against Organ Mountain back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Gadsden Panthers fell to the Organ Mountain Knights 41-35. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Organ Mountain's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aliyah Martinez, who posted ten points. Martinez has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Siena Gonzales, who earned 16 points and five boards.

Gadsden's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Organ Mountain, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11.

Gadsden didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-16 loss against Las Cruces on the 23rd. As for Organ Mountain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 46-39 victory against Alamogordo on the 23rd.
