Baseball Recap: Foothill Tech Comes Up Short

Foothill Tech came into this matchup off a tough seven-run loss on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Dos Pueblos Chargers by a score of 9-7 on Saturday. The Dragons haven't had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Cooper Casey and Jacory Smith did some serious damage despite the final result: Casey went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double, while Smith got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs. Robert Juker was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Foothill Tech now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Dos Pueblos, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Foothill Tech wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 15-7 victory against Milken on the 10th. As for Dos Pueblos, they have also already played their next game, a 14-3 win against Buena on the 10th.
