            Baseball Recap: Craig County Rockets vs. Bath County Chargers        
        
		
        
        
            Craig County extended their losing streak  (dating back to last season) to 17  on Monday, dropping their season record down to 0-14 in the process. They lost  15-5 to the Bath County Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  7-3  back in April.
As for Bath County,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 6-10. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 16.0 runs over those games.
For Bath County's part,  C Lowry was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits. Lowry was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. That  triple marked the first that  he has  hit this season.
 In other batting news, Bath County got a  massive  performance out of  I Ingram, who  went 3-for-4 with three  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. The Chargers are 4-2 when  Ingram posts two or  more  runs, but 2-8 otherwise.  H Kirby was another key player,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
 Craig County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bath County, they will square off against Highland at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Chargers will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least ten  runs  in their last four contests.
