River Falls had to settle for second on Tuesday, but BRENNA CLIFTON sure wasn't going down easily. Eau Claire North had no answer to CLIFTON as she tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. CLIFTON has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

Even though CLIFTON couldn't lead River Falls over Eau Claire North, she won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats haven't beaten the Huskies recently, having gone 0-3 since April of 2024.
