Somerset won the last time they faced Cotulla and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs blew past the Cowboys 9-2.

Kourtney Rios was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Karlet Sanchez was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Somerset has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Cotulla, their record now sits at 14-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Somerset will host John F. Kennedy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs are facing the Rockets at the right time seeing as the Rockets are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Cotulla, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Cole at 7:00 p.m. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.74 runs per game on average), something the Cowboys will no doubt try to take advantage of.
