Volleyball Recap: Liberty Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Liberty entered their tilt with Heritage on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Patriots 3-0. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Patriots back in April, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Liberty walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-14, 25-21.

Zachary Sisney paced Liberty's offense, picking up 14 kills. Sisney got some help from Tyler DeGuzman and his 21 assists. DeGuzman was also solid from the service line: he led the team with eight aces.

Liberty pushed their record up to 22-6 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Heritage, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.

Coming up, Liberty will be playing at home against Granada at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heritage, they will host Campolindo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
