Caledonia is 8-2 against East Kentwood since June of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Fighting Scots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 12:30 p.m.

Caledonia is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Hudsonville on Thursday. They lost 7-1 to the Eagles. The Fighting Scots haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, it may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but East Kentwood ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over Forest Hills Central.

CAM SINGER was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-6 with three runs and one stolen base. East Kentwood is 4-1 when SINGER posts two or more runs, but 4-22 otherwise.

In other batting news, DREW BURTON was a standout: he went 3-for-6 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of GRAYSON SHANNON, who got on base in three of his six plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Caledonia's defeat dropped their record down to 13-17-4. As for East Kentwood, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-23.

Caledonia took their victory against East Kentwood in their previous matchup on May 2nd by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Fighting Scots repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
