It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but The First Academy had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Faith Christian Lions with a sharp 67-43 win. The Royals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 23 points or more this season.

Max Simmons was his usual excellent self, going 6-for-10 to rack up 21 points and eight boards. The contest was his third in a row with at least 17 points. Cooper Clinger was another key player, going 5-for-8 en route to 15 points.

The First Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points over those games. As for Faith Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-8.

Looking ahead, The First Academy will face off against Master's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Master's Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something The First Academy surely won't give up without a fight. Faith Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
