Football Recap: Caprock Longhorns vs. Tascosa Rebels

If Caprock was feeling good fresh off their 29-8 takedown of Lubbock last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Longhorns had to suffer through a 52-10 loss at the hands of the Tascosa Rebels. The Longhorns were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-10.

Juan De La Cruz threw for 59 yards and one touchdown. Aiden Suarez was his top target, picking up 30 receiving yards.

Reese Cabe had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 98 yards and three scores on only five carries, while also catching one TD for Tascosa. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Cabe a new career-high. Deandre Sanders was another key back, rushing for 95 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries.

Caprock's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Tascosa, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3.
