Baseball Recap: Arrowhead Christian's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Arrowhead Christian had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Linfield Christian Lions a 1-0 shutout on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since May 7, 2024.

Bobby Mahoney tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Arrowhead Christian is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-6 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Diesel Toth, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Arrowhead Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Linfield Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3-1.
