Basketball Recap: Nevada Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Nevada put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs with a sharp 64-42 victory. The Cubs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 22 points or more this season.

Nevada's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25 points. As for Prairie City-Monroe, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nevada will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Perry at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Perry knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Nevada likes a good challenge. Prairie City-Monroe and Lynnville-Sully will round out the year against one another at on December 28th.
