Coppell extended their winning streak to six on Friday, bumping them up to 6-0. They claimed a resounding 77-48 win over the Leadership Prep Lions. While the Cowboys didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

As for Leadership Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5. The contest marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Leadership Prep lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was AJ Alviso, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. Justin Matthews was another key player, shooting 78% from the field on his way to 17 points.

Coming up, Coppell and Houston Christian will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. The Cowboys will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Leadership Prep, they have already played their next matchup, a 77-38 defeat against Aledo on the 21st.
