Recap: Burbank Bulldogs vs. Blair Vikings
The Burbank Bulldogs were the 73-70 winner over the Blair Vikings when they last played one another back in March of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. Burbank took a hard 96-82 fall against Blair on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Thursday (72), Burbank still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Burbank still got an impressive performance from Odartey Blankson, who shot 4-for-5 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 44 points and 16 rebounds. The contest was Blankson's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kamran Alborzian, who scored 17 points along with five assists.
Burbank has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Blair, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Burbank and Hoover will face off at 6:45 p.m. on January 4, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Blair will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Saugus at 3:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
