Recap: St. Xavier Bombers vs. Cooper Jaguars

The St. Xavier Bombers pushed their score all the way to 56 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 74-56 to Cooper. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (55), St. Xavier still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, St. Xavier still got an impressive performance from Jacob Wassler, who scored 24 points along with nine rebounds. The matchup was Wassler's third in a row with at least ten points.

St. Xavier's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Cooper, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Xavier's road trip will continue as they head out to face Covington Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Covington Catholic presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than St. Xavier in their respective states (Covington Catholic is ranked 31st in Kentucky, while St. Xavier is ranked 266th in Ohio). As for Cooper, they will head out on the road to face off against Simon Kenton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Simon Kenton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday.
