Volleyball Recap: Servite Takes a Loss

If Servite was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Santa Margarita last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Friars lost 3-0 to the JSerra Catholic Lions on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Friars have suffered since March 4th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14, 25-18.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead JSerra Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Darren Chi, who had 14 digs.

Servite has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-15 record this season. As for JSerra Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Servite is set to square off against their familiar foe Mater Dei at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, JSerra Catholic will challenge rival Orange Lutheran at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
