Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Green Valley

Green Valley entered their tilt with Kearns on Saturday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 13-12 W against the Kearns Cougars. That's two games straight that the Gators have won by just one run.

Mia Mor Hernandez was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Madelynne Cotton, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Hernandez wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Green Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Green Valley's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Kearns, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Green Valley will square off against Skyline at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
