Recap: Trenton Catholic Academy vs. Medford Tech Jaguars
The Medford Tech Jaguars typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday Trenton Catholic Academy proved too difficult a challenge. They skirted past the Jaguars 67-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why Medford Tech lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tre Powell. Despite the final result, he scored 29 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Powell has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Nesta Rice was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with six rebounds.
Trenton Catholic Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4. As for Medford Tech, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-3.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Cinnaminson the next time they take the court. Trenton Catholic Academy will head out to face Cinnaminson at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Medford Tech will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
