Baseball Game Preview: Sebring Blue Streaks vs. Auburndale Bloodhounds

The Sebring Blue Streaks will face off against the Auburndale Bloodhounds at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sebring's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so Auburndale's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Auburndale will be up against a hot Sebring team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Sebring never let John Carroll Catholic get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Saturday.

The result came thanks to Zach Huret's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Jamarcus Gomez was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Auburndale didn't have quite enough to beat IMG Academy Royal on Friday and fell 7-6. The Bloodhounds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hayden Sosa-Morris was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Monroe, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Auburndale's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Sebring, their win bumped their record up to 14-4.

Sebring took their victory against Auburndale when the teams last played on March 6th by a conclusive 9-1. Will Sebring repeat their success, or does Auburndale has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
