Basketball Recap: Davis Darts vs. Farmington Phoenix
While Davis's win against Farmington wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Darts sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-42 victory over the Phoenix on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Darts sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Kate Willard continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 55% from the field on her way to 21 points and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Peery, who posted seven points and four steals.
Despite the defeat, Farmington saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Olive Wayland went 7-for-13 to rack up 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wayland has scored all season. Ellie Dorius was another key player, putting up four points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Davis' win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Farmington, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.
Coincidentally, Davis and Farmington will both be playing Layton the next time they take the court. The Phoenix will host the Lancers at 5:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Darts will head out to face them at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
