Softball Recap: Hanson Memorial Comes Up Short

After flying high against St. Martinville on Thursday, Hanson Memorial came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against the Opelousas Catholic Vikings on Saturday, falling 10-0. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost three in a row.

Hanson Memorial saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Pitre, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Hanson Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Opelousas Catholic, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 19-10.

Hanson Memorial didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-0 loss against Teurlings Catholic on the 12th. As for Opelousas Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-3 win against Cecilia on the 14th.
