Galion hadn't done well against Pleasant recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Galion Tigers came out on top against the Pleasant Spartans by a score of 46-33. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers who have now won five matches in a row.

Pleasant's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lathan Mccants, who posted five points. The dominant performance also gave Mccants a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Alec Columber, who put up five points.

Galion's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Pleasant, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Galion will be playing at home against Willard at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Galion's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Willard has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. As for Pleasant, they will venture away from home to face off against Ridgedale at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
