Basketball Recap: School of the Ozarks Victorious

After losing to Pleasant Hope the last time they met, School of the Ozarks decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Patriots snuck past the Pirates with a 34-28 victory on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Claire Knight was the offensive standout of the game as she shot 60% from the field on her way to 15 points and three steals. Those 15 points gave her a new career-high. Helena Smilie was another key player, putting up five points and 12 boards.

School of the Ozarks smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

School of the Ozarks now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Pleasant Hope, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. School of the Ozarks will head out to take on Billings at 6:15 p.m. on the 18th. As for Pleasant Hope, they will take on Conway at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
