Volleyball Recap: Mt. Carmel Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mt. Carmel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fairfield Mules. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Aces of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-10.

Tensley Dunlap paced Mt. Carmel's offense, picking up four kills. Dunlap got some help from Mattie Armstrong and her seven assists.

Mt. Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Fairfield, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-5.

Coming up, Mt. Carmel is taking a road trip to challenge Lawrenceville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fairfield, they will head out to square off against Carmi-White County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
