Basketball Game Preview: Central Falls/Blackstone Valley Prep vs. Prout Crusaders

Central Falls/Blackstone Valley Prep will head out on the road to take on the Prout Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Central Falls/Blackstone Valley Prep proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 33) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against North Providence, sneaking past 44-41. The score was all tied up 20-20 at the break, but Central Falls/Blackstone Valley Prep was the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Prout was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Middletown 51-21. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 23 points or more this season.

Prout is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.0 points over those games. As for Central Falls/Blackstone Valley Prep, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
