Soccer Recap: Center Comes Up Short

Center entered their contest against Mira Loma on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Center Cougars fell just short of the Mira Loma Matadors by a score of 1-0. The shutout was out of character for the Cougars seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in November of 2024.

Center's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3-3. As for Mira Loma, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4-2 record this season.

Center is taking a road trip to challenge Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Center surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mira Loma, they will take on Oakmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
