Meanwhile, Wilcox Academy came tearing into Friday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.4 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Hope Christian Academy, posting a 43-6 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wildcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 136th, while Hope Christian Academy are ranked 327th).

Wilcox Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Abbeville Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.

Abbeville Christian Academy took a serious blow against Wilcox Academy in their previous matchup back in September of 2019, falling 56-14. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Generals were down 42-14.
