Everything went their way against the Theodore Bobcats on Wednesday as the Escambia Gators made off with a 17-10 win. The victory continues a trend for the Gators in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won four in a row.
Caleb Bates made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Bates was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.
