Volleyball Recap: Walpole Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Walpole's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Weymouth Wildcats by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Timberwolves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win didn't come easy: Weymouth scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21, 16-25, 25-18.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maddie McEvoy, who had ten digs and one assist.

Walpole's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. As for Weymouth, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Walpole wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Braintree on the 18th. As for Weymouth, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Needham on the 18th.
