Softball Recap: St. Mary's Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against McDonogh 35 last Monday, St. Mary's Academy came back down to earth. The St. Mary's Academy Cougars came up short against the New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 25-15. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

St. Mary's Academy got a massive performance out of Nave Batiste, who scored three runs and stole Six bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Batiste is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Samia Siddiq was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Five bases. while going 2-for-4.

St. Mary's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-3-1. As for New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
