Basketball Recap: Lakes Takes a Loss

If Lakes was riding high fresh off their 67-40 takedown of Bulls College Prep two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lakes Eagles took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Niles West Wolves on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now lost three in a row.

Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Niles West, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8.

Lakes won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fenton at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Niles West, they will welcome Highland Park at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
