Basketball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 62-40 to the Del Valle Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Maroons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-48 back in January.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 7-23. As for Del Valle, the win got them back to even at 16-16.

Looking ahead, Austin will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Dripping Springs at 7:00 p.m. As for Del Valle, they are taking a road trip to take on Bowie at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Del Valle has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
