Preview: Hamilton Braves vs. Williams Yellowjackets
The Hamilton Braves will be playing in front of their home fans against the Williams Yellowjackets at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hamilton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 242 points over their last five games.
Hamilton stacked a sixth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Mt. Shasta 48-6 at home.
Hamilton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Diego Sanchez, who threw for 217 yards and five touchdowns on only 19 passes. Bryant Odom was another key contributor, rushing for 86 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
Meanwhile, even though Trinity scored an imposing 36 points on Friday, Williams still came out on top. Williams took down Trinity 52-36.
Alejandro Hernandez went supernova for Williams, rushing for 248 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Hernandez was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Rosales, who rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown.
Hamilton's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Williams, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
Hamilton took their win against Williams in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 by a conclusive 21-0. Will Hamilton repeat their success, or does Williams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
