Baseball Recap: Tara Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Tara waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the North Iberville Bears as they made off with an 11-2 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2025.

Enrique Avila made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Don Rochon was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Elijah Thibodeaux, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Tara was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive games.

Tara's record is now 4-1. As for North Iberville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3-1.

Tara will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bears: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
