Recap: Randolph Blue Devils vs. Avon Panthers

The Randolph Blue Devils's game on Thursday was all tied up 13-13 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 39-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Avon. Randolph was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Avon apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Avon can attribute much of their success to Hanelie Cadet, who scored 24 points. Aniyah Pierre-Louis was another key contributor, scoring four points along with nine rebounds.

Randolph bumped their record down to 1-1 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.3 points per game. As for Avon, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

Randolph will be playing in front of their home fans against Carver at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Avon won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Rising Tide at 4:00 p.m. on January 5th.
