Recap: Gibbs Gladiators vs. Pinellas Park Patriots

The Gibbs Gladiators stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by Pinellas Park on the road to the tune of 85-24. That looming 85-24 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Gibbs yet this season.

Gibbs was led to victory by Jacob Daniels and Oneal Delancy. Daniels scored 13 points along with seven assists, while Delancy scored 15 points along with two steals. Atron Eubanks was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.

Despite the defeat, Pinellas Park saw an underclassman step up: Amir Saheed scored five points along with nine rebounds.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Pinellas Park struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Gibbs racked up 19 assists.

Gibbs' win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Pinellas Park, they bumped their record down to 1-11 with that loss, which was their 14th straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gibbs' road trip will continue as they head out to face Calvary Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Averaging 53.8 so far this season, Calvary Christian's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Gibbs better be ready for a challenge. As for Pinellas Park, they will head out on the road to take on Largo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Largo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
