Appling County lost against Bacon County last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Appling County Pirates were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 69-68 to the Bacon County Raiders. The Pirates' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Xavier Harris was his usual excellent self, going 12 of 23 en route to 34 points along with five boards and four steals for Bacon County. Those 34 points gave Harris a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Theron Moore, who posted seven points and nine rebounds.

Appling County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Bacon County, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Appling County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-50 victory against Portal on the 27th. As for Bacon County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-52 loss against Tattnall County on the 27th.
