Pana put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Southwestern Piasa Birds 55-6 on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-6.
Wyatt Kile had an outrageously good game as he threw for 166 yards and two touchdowns on only eight passes, and also rushed for 30 yards and a touchdown. Cash Lynch was in the mix as well, providing Pana with two touchdowns.
Pana's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as Jaedyn Wills, Lynch, and Sam Sims picked up one apiece.
Pana's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Southwestern, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.
Pana will welcome North Mac at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Mac will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Pana surely won't give up without a fight. As for Southwestern, they will head out on the road to challenge Vandalia at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Southwestern is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
