Softball Recap: Wahkiakum Takes a Loss

Wahkiakum lost against Ilwaco back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mules lost 16-1 to the Fishermen. The Mules have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wahkiakum saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evy Hogue, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. Morgan Lewis also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Wahkiakum's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Ilwaco, they pushed their record up to 8-6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Wahkiakum will face off against Morton/White Pass at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ilwaco, they will square off against Hoquiam at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
