Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Waverly

Waverly came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Hastings Tigers with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Waverly took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-9, 25-15.

Leading Waverly to victory were Ansley Real and Emmalyn Quinn. Real had 13 digs and two assists, while Quinn had six digs. That's the most digs Real has posted since back in November of 2024. Kinnley Burhoop also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Waverly's win bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Hastings, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Waverly will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against York at 6:30 p.m. on the 14th. As for Hastings, they will take on Fairbury at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
