Football Recap: Alchesay Falcons vs. Globe Tigers
A victory for Alchesay just wasn't in the cards on Thursday as the squad wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They were dealt a 41-14 loss at the hands of the Globe Tigers. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Jeremiah Foster, who rushed for 71 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries for Globe. Another player making a difference was Aiden Bejarano, who rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Alchesay's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Globe, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alchesay will square off against St. Johns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Johns is coming into the game with three straight victories at home, so Alchesay will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Globe, they will face off against San Carlos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Globe knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully San Carlos likes a good challenge.
