Recap: Pinecrest Academy Paladins vs. The King's Academy Knights
If The Pinecrest Academy Paladins were feeling good off their 43-0 takedown of the Creekside Christian Academy Cougars last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Pinecrest Academy took a 35-16 bruising from The King's Academy on Friday. Pinecrest Academy was down 28-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead The King's Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Will Johnson, who threw for 137 yards and two touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Bone, who rushed for 72 yards and two touchdowns.
Pinecrest Academy now has a losing record at 3-4. As for The King's Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
Pinecrest Academy will head out on the road to face off against Cherokee Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for The King's Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against King's Ridge Christian at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (King's Ridge Christian is ranked 405th, while The King's Academy is ranked 404th).
