Jackson Academy extended the longest winning streak in MAIS AAA I District 1 this week by beating Heritage Academy, 41-35. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Jackson Academy and the Patriots played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Jackson Academy eventually emerging with a 41-35 victory.
Madison Ridgeland Academy's Matt Porter and Will Trammell have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Porter has thrown for 615 yards this season, while Trammell has 20 catches for 368 yards. Nick Guy from David Skyes's team leads the league in rushing with 752 yards.
